This is a very important question. In life we fight, we fight in our own strength and understanding for our family, loved ones, children etc. but are we really fighting the right way? I recently had a death in my immediate family that got me thinking about life even more. We fight for a lot of things money, power, love, peace, relationships but there are a lot of sick people in this world that are fighting for something that is of more worth to them, their life! Our lives are carefully mapped out by our God he has a plan and purpose for everything under the sun. When we fight the little things in the earth, by quarreling, strife, confusion, gossip, we tend to forget that God is still in control, he has already won the fight and paid the price, we now have to walk in victory and let our words and actions portrait Christ in our situations. 1 John 5:5 says “Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.” Continue reading Pray, Fight, Trust→
While Jesus was on the earth before he performed a miracle where he healed the sick and even raised the dead there is one thing that stands out. He said to the believer, be it unto you according to your faith or in other words your belief (see Matthew 8:13, 9:22,29, Mark 5:34). In fact he surrounded himself with persons who believed before he performed a marvelous act of faith. I believe that he was able to draw from the belief of the crowd in order to glorify God. lord I surrender! When we truly surrender we trust God to work and fight on our behalf. While letting go of our situation may seem like if we have given up, we have indeed let go by stop fighting in our own strength. In doing this we relinquish control to God allowing his grace to flow from us into our situation. No matter what arises don’t take it back by worrying and strife (worldly fight) but keep the faith and have patience knowing that he will see us through.
Take a minute to think about the above statement for a minute. Why would you say that you are not happy ? What or who influences your happiness? Happiness can be defined as a state of well- being categorized by emotions ranging from contentment to intense joy. What this definition fail to mention is joy and contentment in what, that is where we have a decision to make. Continue reading Lies we tend to believe about Happiness →
How can we truly love, if we ourselves don’t understand how to love or what love really is. I have come to learn in my experience, that love, pure love, cannot rely on how we feel or how we are treated by others or by our perception of whether it’s deserving or not. Love must be a choice we make for ourselves, knowing that our expression of love has a Divine purpose and intent. Always remember, feelings can defy us … See Defying Negative Feelings. Feelings that impact love can lead us to love others only if the conditions are favorable to us (what’s in this for me). love is practical as well as emotional, lets first change our love perspective and watch it play out in our emotions actions.
The Foundation of Love?
“You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”” Galatians 5:13-14 NIV Continue reading Is Love really a feeling?→
2015 has being a year of world winds in my spiritual and physical life. I have experienced a whole lot of challenges, hurt and growth. I even gained respect in different aspects of my life. I must say trials and testing are really a “gift” of life (different perspective) that promotes you into a more in-depth walk in your life.
At the end of 2014 into 2015 I experienced one of the greatest hurt I would consider in my lifetime – rejection. To counter rejection (after holding my own pity party for days) I turned to my first love, the great and awesome God who knows and has plans for my life beyond my thoughts and imagination. Rejection was the beginning of my salvation. I made a choice to get to know him even deeper than I already did. Continue reading Trials, a “gift” of life→
