Songs of Adoration

“Each of the four living creatures had six wings, full of eyes all around and under their wings. They worshiped without ceasing, day and night, singing,

“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, the Almighty! The Was, the Is, and the Coming!”

And whenever the living creatures gave glory, honor, and thanks to the One who is enthroned and who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders fell facedown before the one seated on the throne and they worshiped the one who lives forever and ever. And they surrendered their crowns before the throne, singing:

“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory, honor, and power, for you created all things, and by your plan they were created and exist.” Revelation‬ ‭4:8-11 TPT

As I read this it’s sad to admit but I see a picture of the none responsive one to the presence of God. Those who spectate and don’t respond.

What does Adoration look like?

As the living creatures worshiped, the response of the elders was to posture themselves in love, it was a demonstration of how they adore the one who sat on the throne. They fell down; even in the process of falling to the ground I see humility and surrender. It’s as if they couldn’t stand in the awe filled presence of God. Their worship response was out of their intimacy and openness to just lavish themselves in his presence; it really hard to find the words to describe this.

You are Worthy oh Lord! and because you are I can’t stand and let only some worship you while I spectate, my response will be flat faced adoration; it’s my wanting response, as I delight in your presence.

Strangely enough Joseph comes to mind here, he is the one described as a man of integrity; He was betrothed to Mary but when he found out that she was with child he wanted to put her away secretly. An angel appeared to him and told him don’t be afraid to take her as your wife she is with child of the Holy Spirit. Even now, I am like lord! You really seek after people that will respond to you from a place of Love and intimacy; the humble and trusting. If Joseph wasn’t a man submitted to the voice of God (the biblical definition of a man of integrity) he would not have responded in obedience to Gods intent.

In like manner the elders saw their role before the throne of God; to worship.

What is your purpose before the throne?

I ask this question to stir our hearts to come to that place where we either know our purpose before the throne or we are willing to seek it out.

God first demonstrated his adoration for us so that we can be adopted as his own. How should respond to that kind of Love? Shouldn’t we throw ourselves before his throne as a song, a drink of adoration being (it’s everlasting) poured out before him. That’s how I see us as the church we have to open, and pure heartedly as a song of adoration, join in with the 24 elders and and angels as our lives sing Holy, Holy are you lord! Riped at the heart, bowed before the throne, why because it’s our reasonable… omg service. Our lives as a service and servant before God, responding to his love language of spending quality time in the throne room of God. Not only are we there, but we are his chosen people.

How awesome it is to see my God worshiped in the way he should; an outward expression of how we are internally configured.

Love you guys. Let’s keep on persevering.
